Embracing the private and public sectors
We are an educational charity with a leading reputation for our management of schools across both the independent and state sectors.
United Church Schools Trust (UCST) was founded in 1883 to extend the reach of good academic education in Victorian England.
Today, we still retain our pioneering spirit. In 2002 we set up the United Learning Trust (ULT) as a fully-owned subsidiary to extend our work and ethos into the state sector through the Government's Academies Programme.
The strength of our Group is evident. Over £90 million has been invested in our schools in the last 18 years to ensure first rate facilities and access to the latest innovations and information technology.
The breadth of our Group allows us not only to pool resources and concentrate on purchasing power and training and leadership development in order to make the best possible use of funds, but also to generate new ideas, debate current educational issues and evaluate our curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Our experience and resources are harnessed to promote top quality teaching and foster our core ethos that distinguishes all UCST schools and ULT academies.
