Academic excellence
We set great store by the quality of our teaching at all our schools. We attract the highest calibre of teaching staff.
Our academic results are exceptional:
- Over 20% of Bramcote Lorne 13+ leavers have achieved scholarship success in 2007.
- 90% of all our pupils gained five or more GCSEs (including English and Maths) at A*-C grades in 2006.
- Over 73% of all our pupils in 2006 gained A or B grade at A level.
- Over 90% of all our pupils went onto university in 2006:
- 58% to Russell Group
- 8% to Oxbridge.
Our boarders typically achieve even better results. For example, 75% of our A level boarding students gained A or B grades and thus a higher percentage attend top universities. We strongly believe this is due to the benefit of structured prep sessions each evening during the school week, the greater time boarders spend at school and, of course, because their teachers are on hand for guidance and advice.
