Independent Schools Group Celebrates Best Ever A Level Results
Pupils and staff at UCST’s ten independent schools across the country are celebrating their A Level successes, the best set of results the Group has ever recorded. Across the Group:
o 22% received A* compared with the national average of 8.2%
o 55% received A*-A compared with the national average of 50.8%
o 78% received A*-B compared with the national average of 52.6%
o 99% received A*-E compared with the national average of 97.8%.
Commenting on these results, Charlotte Rendle-Short, Acting Chief Executive of the United Church Schools Trust said:
“These are excellent results which are tribute to the hard work of our students and staff across the country. There are some outstanding individual results and I congratulate each pupil who is celebrating today. I would also like to thank all our staff whose dedication to their pupils has contributed to this success.
I am particularly pleased by our A* figures. Once again, we have seen these rise across the Group. This is particularly important as these are the grades that the top universities are increasingly looking for as evidence of excellence.
Our aim at UCST is to bring out the best in everyone. A Level results are only one facet of a well-rounded education and our pupils are leaving our schools fully equipped for their time at university and with the skills for happy, successful lives."
